That racist of all notions, that throwback to the days of Nazi Germany has started. That being the idea of a Muslim registry where Muslims are asked pointedly whether they believe in Islam. We’ve already heard Donald Trump say he thinks such a policy is necessary and now it appears before he has even been inaugurated the wheels are in motion to get started
Several Muslim-Americans received mysterious robocalls asking them whether they identify as a follower of Islam, some of whom are citing the spectre of a proposed Muslim registry as cause for alarm over the confounding calls.
The robocall appear to have gone out in the past two days asking Muslim-Americans their religious affiliation and assuring them the call would “be kept strictly anonymous and confidential,”
“Do you identify yourself as a MUSLIM, yes press one no press two,” the robocall asked….
Who is behind this is not clear but the seeds sown during the Trump campaign have started producing fruit and the American landscape for now is not the same as it was a few short months ago
