In assessing Donald Trump’s presidential victory………………….U.S. intelligence agencies determined that the Russian government actively interferedin our elections. Russian state propaganda gave little doubt that this was done to support Republican nominee Trump, who repeatedlypraisedVladimir Putin and excused the Russian president’s foreign aggression and domestic repression. Most significantly, U.S. intelligence agencies have affirmed that the Russian government directedthe illegal hackingof private email accounts of the Democratic National Committee and prominent individuals. The emails were then released by WikiLeaks, which hasbenefitedfinancially from a Russian state propaganda arm,used Russian operativesfor security and made clear an intent to harm the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.
This is an extraordinary admission that Trump knows about which he simply can’t stomach because he knows he didn’t win except with the help of a once avowed enemy. Moreover it must be difficult for those who are telling Trump that they know he’s benefited from the largesse of a communist dictator. How uncomfortable such a setting should be…. all the better to avoid it altogether, hence no briefings for him. A Regions Bank senior-level employee who was labeled “Racist of the Week” on social media after posting comments on Facebook derogatory of President Obama and his family, some of which alluded to slavery, is no longer with the company, the bank says.
June Pridmore was senior vice president of loan operations since 2008, according to her LinkedIn profile, which has been deleted.
“I voted [Trump] in,” she wrote, in part. “I like him. He has a beautiful wife unlike the ugly and embarrassing woman (for lack of a better word), in the White House now. Ms. Trump’s face would make Michele (sic) O’Bama (sic) a Sunday face.”

There are no naked photos of FLOTUS Obama floating around which might possibly upset the sensitivities of Christians in the Bible Belt unlike those one can easily find of Melania Trump. It’s also poignant that Ms.Pridmore made reference to Trump being rich enough to buy President and Mrs. Obama….a throwback to slavery and white supremacy. So if you think Donald Trump won because his was an issues oriented campaign……..nah, not even.
I didn’t quite know what the angle was when it was announced Trump’s wife and son would remain in New York and not move to the White House but I KNEW there was something sinister about it. Perhaps this is it
The U.S. Secret Service is expected to lease two full floors at New York City’s Trump Tower to protect the incoming president and is family. One floor is currently empty, the second currently houses Trump’s campaign HQ. The cost to taxpayers for the real estate rental will be $3 million each year, the New York Postreports.
It’s a windfall for Trump, who has seen “seen a nearly 40 percent rate slash for sales and rentals of residential units in the past year, according to a recent article in The Hollywood Reporter.” Trump Tower also has an increasingly low occupancy rate, about 15 percent.

Normally this story is about 2nd amendment types buying guns out of fear of government confiscation thereof. However the Trump election victory and the resulting white supremacist eruption had people of color and Muslims flocking to stores for protection. This Facebook group is for an outfit called Vigilant Patriots, which claims its goals are defending and upholding the Constitution and preserving “our history and culture.” As of Friday morning, it listed nearly 3,600 members, including Stephen Bannon, who apparently joined the group seven years ago.
Now that you know….we are collectively responsible for all acts of violence against minorities or people of color which are excused by the Trump administration.

The second-largest private prison company in America made an illegal $100,000 donation to a Super PAC supporting Donald Trump…….
A subsidiary of the GEO Group, which runs 64 prisons and jails around the country,made the donation in August to Rebuilding America Now, the primary PAC backing the Republican nominee that’s already raised upwards of $20 million for his campaign. The donation allegedly violated a law banning federal contractors from making federal political donations while in negotiations for a contract.
GEO Corrections Holdings Inc. made the $100,000 donation on August 19, just one day after the Department of Justice announced that it would phase out its private prisons,
Of course a Trump presidency would be beholden to the prison industrial complex by filling it with the likes of people Trump has denounced during his long, arduous campaign… the Mexicans, the African Americans, the Muslims in other words every group of people besides white males. Did I mention women who might have an abortion? And let’s not forget those Trump plans to sue for writing anything he alone might consider litigious. This is what we sign up for if he’s elected. I have to give the woman pictured below credit for her courage dealing with America’s rabid hatred of her own Muslim citizens. Muslims are another item this country has put on the dietary plate of people to hate and vilify. In the photo Rose Hamid is being ejected from a Trump rally just for being there unobtrusively and peacefully while handing out flowersand a pen with the name of her website printed on the pen. Keith Olbermann has found his voice again and the American airwaves are better off because of it. You probably know the various manifestations from UPI to CNN to ESPN to MSNBC to Current TV. His resume includes all the prominent broadcasting companies and now he’s added GQ to the company he’s worked for. I have to admit a personal bias…..I love his passion and his commitment to political diversity so you will most likely find links to some of his commentaries here.
On this occasion he’s talking about Hillary Clinton’s remarks about Trump’s deplorable supporters. You remember the controversy right, where she said this
You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.

Those two words began the turmoil of American politics for the next 8 years and accelerated America’s descent into political chaos the likes of which the country hasn’t seen for over 100 years. Doomsayers have been signaling the end of the world since mankind has lived communally but Joe Wilson’s verbal ejaculation was unprecedented for American politics and is foreshadowing.
It was Barack Obama’s first State of of the Union address as President. He had barely taken the reins of political power; had not even put his imprimatur on the country’s direction yet South Carolina congressman Wilson felt the very presence of Obama warranted this indiscretion. At that point in his address Obama was talking about illegal immigration and whether they could qualify for health insurance legislation that he was trying to pass at that time.
“There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants,” Obama said. “This, too, is false — the reforms I’m proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.”
As it turns out the President was right Obamacare does contain an explicit prohibition against providing federally-subsidized coverage to immigrants who cannot prove they are here legally but that’s not what really caused Joe Wilson’s ire. Rather it was the Southerner in Wilson that forced him to take America back to the advent of Radical Reconstruction when southern states, buckling under and humbled by their defeat at the hands of the Union felt it necessary to subdue their black citizens even though those very citizens were granted full citizenship, the right to vote and equal protection under the law.

These rights were codified in the 13th, 14th, 15th amendments and the civil rights act of 1866 which granted citizenship and the same rights enjoyed by white citizens to all male persons in the United States “without distinction of race or color, or previous condition of slavery or involuntary servitude.” Even though African-Americans were free the reality is

and so the next 100 years proved to be the most tumultuous and politically oppressive for America’s black citizens as well as the most advantageous and rewarding for whites. You Lie has been on the lips of black Americans since that time. They say it in response to their misplaced reality, the freedom and equality they were promised but has yet to materialize; they say it silently to themselves whenever they hear a politician talk about his or her ideas for a post racial society; they say it whenever they hear the explanation for why an unarmed black man is shot by police. Mr. Wilson, on the other hand aimed it at what many saw as America finally fulfilling its promise, potential.
Obama brought out the ugly in America. The country built on the principles of a white gentry land owner class was not ready for him despite the fact that those outside that class were. America’s present day answer to the 21st century’s Reconstruction is Donal Trump. He’s been brewing on the American political landscape for some time with obvious and disastrous results and he’s been consistent in those outcomes. Let’s start with, albeit one of many, Trump’s race baiting adventures dating back to the brutal rape of a white jogger in Central Park in May 1989 which received widespread media attention. Trump took out a full-age ad in four New York City newspapers with the title “BRING BACK THE DEATH PENALTY! BRING BACK THE POLICE!” He did not specifically reference the Central Park jogger attack in the ad, but its timing made the connection inescapable and everyone in NYC knew who he was referring too. New York was at a very racially charged time; crime was high and would go higher and the Central Park jogger case had all the ingredients of a white female allegedly attacked by a black marauding gang with others bursting the seams of their neighborhoods and only the police

to keep them back. It was easy for Donald Trump to appeal to that mob like mentality and he did it with aplomb in much the same way he’s doing today. If you’re wondering his timing couldn’t have been more off. The four teenagers he wanted to kill, execute were entirely and completely innocent of their crime and exonerated. The guilty party was found, confessed and languishes in jail but the mood was set and some could say the city with its draconian stop and frisk policing has set an ugly tone in law enforcement for this country.
There’s something about where the country is today that attracts his presence and made him the presidential candidate for the Republican party. He has been enabled in no small part by the media which has treated his candidacy with a legitimacy it does not deserve. Rather they continue to cover it because it is an extraordinary revenue source. CBS’ executive said just that, “It may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS” the hidden meaning being the absence of Trump might not bode well for the bottom line. After all, the saying goes, controversy sells and what’s more important in a capitalist society than a profitable bottom line. But that means giving a microphone to Trump’s many lies…which don’t get called that all. In fact even when they are demonstrably proven as lies the media reports them in the process of a political speech and then somehow glosses over them as if he never said them.
Perhaps the most egregious regards Muslims….and two lies in particular stand out for people to stand and shout out You Lie. The first was his saying he saw on TV thousands of Muslims in New Jersey celebrating the attacks of 911. He saw that on television…..let that sink in for a minute. He saw that on a television channel that is licensed by the Federal Communications Commission over United States television channels. That means it exists in more than Donald Trump’s mind, world. There has to be a record such video was played over the air waves of this country. Right? Fact is there is no such video; it’s all imagined by Donald Trump
Farmer (John Farmer Jr., New Jersey state’s attorney general AND a registered Republican) told the New York Times that the New Jersey State Police received reports on the day of the attacks that “Muslims were dancing on the rooftops and in the streets of Jersey City and Paterson.” Those reports were investigated and found to be false, Farmer said. “We followed up on that report instantly because of its implications,” Farmer told the Times. “The word came back quickly from Jersey City, later from Paterson. False report. Never happened.”
Never happened! But because it has been put out on the public domain and NOT retracted by Trump 2016 has seen the largest number of acts of violence against Muslims since 911 and the year is not over yet. “I never said the term ‘Muslim. I’m saying we’re going to profile people that maybe look suspicious, I didn’t say [if] they were Muslims or not.”
There’s no disconnect between what Trump says and reality. Pathologically one can say there is something wrong with him but he’s managed to bring on board his campaign apparatus an entire group of people who are in the mold of presidential southern recontructionists….those people who misapplied, institutionalized the law to make segregation de facto despite the gains given by the 13th, 14, 15th amendments. It goes to show you that despite the legal advances codified by law there are still ways corruption can make gains losses and oppress large segments of the population. Donald Trump and his campaign is doing just that and he’s able to because no one is willing to stand up and make a simple two word declaration, You Lie!
We haven’t even heard nor seen the worst of what happened to people imprisoned in AbuGhraib. Eric Fair, the author of the book, Consequence comes out four square against torture or enhanced interrogation saying they are one and the same. You can find an interview with him here. What he is saying is what you can find in the pages of Miscellany101 since day one of the war but in today’s political climate where presidential candidates are calling for torture in very explicit terms and not caring to even debate its illegality Fair’s book should be front and center in any public debate on foreign policy where the issue of torture is brought up.
However, there has always been a lingering suspicion that we what we were told only scratched the surface and this latest news piece confirms that.
According to a number of global mainstream media sources, the Pentagon is covering up a disturbing video that was never made public with the rest of the recent torture report.
… the appalling video was recorded at Abu Ghraib, the notorious US torture dungeon in Iraq that made headlines roughly a decade ago, when the inhumane tactics being used at the prison were exposed……While the video has remained under wraps thus far, Hersh says it is only a matter of time before it comes out.
Giving a speech at the ACLU last week after the senate torture report was initially released, Hersh gave some insight into what was on the Pentagon’s secret tape.
“Debating about it, ummm … Some of the worst things that happened you don’t know about, okay? Videos, um, there are women there. Some of you may have read that they were passing letters out, communications out to their men. This is at Abu Ghraib … The women were passing messages out saying ‘Please come and kill me, because of what’s happened’ and basically what happened is that those women who were arrested with young boys, children in cases that have been recorded. The boys were sodomized with the cameras rolling. And the worst above all of that is the soundtrack of the boys shrieking that your government has. They are in total terror. It’s going to come out.”
